Access and parking from Naha Airport and Zamami Port
To get to "Boku no Ten Ojisan" from Naha Airport, you must take a boat from Tomari Port to Zamami Island.
To get to Tomari Port, you can either take the Yui Rail (monorail) to the nearest Miebashi Station and walk to the port, or take a cab or local bus directly to Tomari Port.
If you take the Yui Rail, it is about 15 minutes to Miebashi Station, and about 10 minutes on foot from the station to Tomari Port.
A little heavy luggage may be a challenge.
There is no such thing as a direct bus; buses are local.
The fare is inexpensive, but it stops at each bus stop and takes almost 30 minutes.
If you take a cab, the fare will cost about 2,000 yen, but it will take about 15 minutes to get there.
If you have a lot of luggage or are short on time, such as in the morning, a cab may be a better option.
Once you arrive at Tomari Port, it is time to take the boat across to Zamami Island.
We recommend that you book your boat tickets in advance, as the boats may be fully booked during peak season.
Reservations can be made at the Zamami Village Office Naha Sub-branch (098-868-4567, office hours 10:00-17:00).
There are two boats that go to Zamami: the Ferry Zamami and the High Speed Boat Queen Zamami.
All ferries go to Zamami Island via Aka Island.
For high-speed boats, there are two options: one to Zamami Island via Aka Island and the other to Aka Island via Zamami Island.
The trip takes about 120 minutes by ferry or about 50 minutes by high-speed boat via Aka Island.
Once you arrive at Zamami Port, it is a 4-minute walk to "Boku no Ten Ojisan".
Zamami Rent-a-Car is next door and is always busy, so it will be easy to find.

From Tomari Port to Tokashiki Island, take the "Marine Liner Tokashiki" or "Ferry Tokashiki.
The journey time is 35 minutes for the Marine Liner and 70 minutes for the ferry.
Ticket booths are located in the passenger terminal on the first floor of Tomarin or on the north shore of Tomari Port, but reservations are recommended in advance because the seats may be full during summer vacation and other times.

From Tokashiki Port to Awaren Beach, where Octopus Garden is located, it takes about 15 minutes by local bus.
