- To Tokashiki Island:The boarding terminal for high-speed boats is "Tomari Pier North Shore" and that for ferries is "Tomarin-mae".
- To Zamami and Aka Island:Purchase tickets at the Zamami Village counter on the first floor of Tomarin and head to the designated boarding area.
It takes about 20 minutes by cab from Naha Airport or about 10 minutes on foot from Yui Rail (Miebashi Station).
- High speed boat:The trip takes about 35 minutes to Tokashiki and 50-70 minutes to Zamami and Aka. It is ideal for day-trippers, but is easily affected by waves and is more prone to cancellations than ferries.
- Ferry:The trip takes about 70 minutes to Tokashiki and 90 to 120 minutes to Zamami and Aka. Fares are inexpensive (approximately 60-70% of those of high-speed boats), and the large size of the boat makes for a relatively calm ride.
- Zamami ⇔ Aka:Four to six round trips per day (takes about 15 minutes). Reservations are not required and tickets can be purchased on the day.
- Zamami-Aka ⇔ Watakashiki (Abaren):On-demand operation (about 2 flights per day),Reservation by the day before useis required.
*Please note that the terminal on the Tokashiki side is at "Abaren Port," which is a different location from "Tokashiki Port" where boats from Naha arrive.
In winter and spring, strong northerly winds can cause the high-speed boats to be cancelled in some cases. As an alternative, it would be safer to switch to a ferry, which is more resistant to turbulence, or prepare a plan to stay in Naha.
