We used this service on a trip with my boyfriend, and it turned into the best memory ever. Cruising through the natural scenery of Zamami Island together on a traditional sabani boat was pure bliss♪ We were able to relax while feeling the sea breeze, and my boyfriend was all smiles the whole time. We even got some wonderful photos taken, so it was a date we were both completely satisfied with.

Sailing on a sabani—Okinawa’s traditional sailing boat—is a rare experience, and I’d say it offers good value for the price. Cruising through the great outdoors of Zamami Island, propelled solely by the wind, was incredibly pleasant. However, if I had to mention one thing, there were moments when the boat rocked a bit depending on the wind direction, so I felt it would be wise for those prone to seasickness to take precautions. The overall arrangements were well-organized.

My family and I visited Zamami Island and took a cruise on a traditional Sabani sailboat. The experience of gliding quietly along on the power of the wind alone was truly out of the ordinary, and my children enjoyed the feeling of becoming one with the ocean. The guide’s stories about nature were also fascinating. However, since there was no shade from the sun, it would have been perfect if they had mentioned in advance that we should bring hats and sunscreen.

I highly recommend cruising on a traditional Okinawan sailboat called a “sabani”! Since there’s no engine noise, all you can hear is the sound of the waves—and the feeling of becoming one with nature is incredibly soothing♪ The guide was also really kind and taught us all about Okinawa’s history and nature in a fun way☆ If you’re on the fence, you should definitely give it a try!

I was so moved by the beauty of the ocean during my last visit to Zamami Island that I returned this time for a rare tour aboard a traditional Sabani sailboat. The view from the Sabani, which moves solely by the power of the wind, offers a tranquility unlike that of a regular boat, giving me a strong sense of oneness with nature. A rare tour on Zamami Island where you can ride a traditional sabani boat. Gliding across the quiet sea powered only by the wind, without the sound of an engine, was a truly magical experience. It’s easy to join even as a day trip from the main island, and I had a wonderful time.

You should definitely experience the Sabani tour. The feeling of the yellow sails catching the wind and moving through the Kerama blue sea is unmatched. It is also very fun to paddle together with everyone breathing in unison. Captain Sohei will take you to a deserted island and show you sea turtles by snorkeling. Whether it is your first time to Zamami or you are a repeat visitor, you are sure to have a great time. I am sure that both first-timers and repeaters of Zamami will be very satisfied with the Sabani tour! Next time, I would like to ask for a sunset tour.
