外地島は沖縄県座間味村にある慶良間諸島の島のひとつで「ふかじしま」と読みます。

阿嘉島・慶留間島と橋でつながっており、無人島でありながら空港がある珍しい島です。

外地島は阿嘉島の南東約2kmに位置し、慶留間島とは慶留間大橋で結ばれています。

慶留間大橋（慶留間島⇔外地島）

慶留間大橋と周囲の緑豊かな景観

慶留間島から外地島へ渡る橋が慶留間大橋で、かつては「外地橋」とも呼ばれていました。

昭和60年に着工し、平成元年2月に開通した歴史ある橋です。

橋の両端にはケラマジカの角をかたどった飾りがあり、地域らしさが感じられます。

橋の上からは慶留間小中学校の校舎も見え、その景観の美しさから映画のロケ地にも選ばれました。

阿嘉港からは車でおよそ8分、レンタサイクルでも30〜40分ほどで到着します。

慶良間空港の駐車場北側にある小さな門から、丘までApprox. 10 min. on footで展望台に着きますよ。
