This was my first tour of Tokashiki Island. Although there was a fairly large group—including some international visitors—the instructors divided us into small groups for each activity, so I was able to enjoy myself with peace of mind. There are several shops around Awa Beach, and you can rent beach umbrellas and chairs, so it’s a very comfortable place to spend time. You’ll need to store your luggage in paid lockers, but I think you only need to bring the bare minimum of valuables—a few thousand yen per person in cash should be plenty. Before going, I was worried I might have too much time on my hands, but the tour was so packed with activities that I actually felt like there wasn’t enough time. If I get the chance, I’d love to go again! Thank you very much!

That was the perfect choice. You can easily spot sea turtles in the waters off Zamami, and Taipa is just the best. You can even rent gear for free—I have absolutely no complaints. I’d love to do it again.
